How to Apply Your Tattoo

Applying your REDDY Z TATTO semi-permanent tattoo takes just a few minutes. Follow these four simple steps for a clean result that lasts 1–2 weeks.

Step 1: Clean the skin

Clean & Prep Your Skin

Start by cleaning the area where you want to place the tattoo. Use rubbing alcohol or soap and water to remove any oils, lotions, or dirt from the skin.

  • Make sure the skin is completely dry before applying
  • Avoid areas with body hair for best adhesion
  • Choose a flat, smooth area for the cleanest result
Step 2: Peel the protective film

Peel the Protective Film

Carefully peel off the transparent protective film from the tattoo sheet. This reveals the design that will transfer onto your skin.

  • Peel slowly and gently to avoid tearing the design
  • Handle the tattoo by the edges only
  • Position the design face-down on your skin
Step 3: Press with damp cloth

Press & Hold Firmly

Place a damp cloth or sponge over the tattoo and press firmly for 30–60 seconds. The moisture activates the transfer process.

  • Use a damp (not dripping wet) cloth
  • Apply even pressure across the entire design
  • Hold for at least 30 seconds for best results
Step 4: Reveal your tattoo

Peel & Reveal

Gently peel away the backing paper starting from one corner. Your beautiful semi-permanent tattoo is now ready to show off!

  • Peel slowly from one corner for a clean reveal
  • Let the tattoo air-dry for 5 minutes before touching
  • The design will darken slightly over the next few hours
Pro Tips

Make It Last Longer

Avoid Excess Water

While the tattoo is water-resistant, prolonged soaking in water (swimming pools, hot tubs, long baths) can shorten its lifespan. Quick showers are perfectly fine.

Skip the Sunscreen

Apply sunscreen around the tattoo, not directly on it. Oils in sunscreen can break down the design faster. Use clothing to protect it from direct sun exposure.

No Rubbing or Scrubbing

When drying the tattoo area, pat gently with a towel instead of rubbing. Avoid exfoliating products or scrubs on or near the tattoo to maintain its clarity.

Moisturise Gently

A light, oil-free moisturiser can help keep the tattoo looking fresh. Apply a thin layer around the edges. Avoid petroleum-based products directly on the design.

Best Placement Areas

Inner wrist, forearm, ankle, behind the ear, and collarbone are ideal spots. These areas have less friction and movement, helping the tattoo last longer.

Easy Removal

Ready for a new design? Remove your tattoo easily with baby oil or rubbing alcohol. Apply generously, wait 2 minutes, then gently wipe away with a cloth.
